8th Annual PAWS-4-A-Cause: Adopt-A-Thon & Family Fun Day
Open your heart and your home to a dog or cat in need by attending this year’s event. Admission and parking is FREE! And there’s something for everyone, including those with four legs! Bring your own pooch and participate in our dog contests or our 1 or 2 mile walk around the park. Pre-registration is $25 and $30 for day-of the walk. (Pre-registration includes a doggie bag and a t-shirt; t-shirt for day-of-registrants subject to availability). Try your luck in the Big Ticket Raffle for a chance to win fabulous dinner & hotel packages, see some talented canines in action during our demonstrations, sign your dog up for a contest or two, shop at our local pet-related and craft vendor booths, enjoy delicious food and much, much more. In previous years, we’ve had more than 25 rescue groups and over 400 animal lovers attend this event!

Adopt-a-thon:
Dogs and cats from PAWS and over 25 local rescue organizations will be available for adoption. Come find your forever friend!
Dog Walk:
You will also have your choice of a 1 or 2 mile dog walk around the park. Bring your favorite canine and walk with your friends and family! Dog walk pre-registration is $25 ($30 for day-of registration) and includes a doggie bag of goodies and a free t-shirt. (t-shirt guaranteed for pre-registrants; t-shirt for day-of-registrants is subject to availability)

Fundraising:
You can also set up your own personalized Firstgiving Fundraising Page to raise money for the animals by having people sponsor you for the event. OR sign up for our 1 or 2 mile Dog Walk. OR do both! I’m sorry but there are quite a few steps to this:
First, visit www.firstgiving.com and in the Find A Nonprofit box, type in “Public Animal Welfare Society Ohio”. Click on PAWS Ohio from the list and on the next page, click on the “Start Fundraising” button. You’ll get a popup that will list PAWS upcoming events. Choose 2012 PAWS-4-A-Cause, and then on the next page click on the “Join Now” button. From there, you can either register as a Walker or a Non-Walker for the Dog Walk mentioned above, and create your own customized fundraising page to send to family and friends.
We’re also bringing back the Big Ticket Raffle with packages worth more than $500 each. Tickets are $5 each or 6 for $25. And you don’t need to be present at the drawing to win. Click the link above for more information.
Family Fun Day:

This event helps generate funds to continue our foster care program and provide medical care for the animals of PAWS. All proceeds will help PAWS continue its mission to help stray and abused dogs, cats, puppies and kittens.
