Celie (named Ripley at the time) is a Rottie mix who was our Foster for just a week – was painfully shy and hid under the coffeee table the first day we had her. With Sandy’s loving encouragement and lots of training, she has become a Therapy Dog! And she has been a wonderful role model for other dogs Sandy has fostered.

Gilly
Gilly’s name before
we adopted him was Tiger Cat. He had been injured, and then treated for a serious joint infection in his back left leg. When Gilly came to live with us, he was underweight. Since then, however, he has become quite the “fat and sassy” cat.

Buster
Thank you both, for saving me and for putting me in a home that loves me! You two are just as special to me
(& my family) and I just wanted to l
et you know how I feel!
Love,
Jake (previously known as Buster!)
PS. Hope all words were spelt correctly – I borrowed my mom’s phone to send this!!!
Lia
She’s been sleeping all night and during the day when I work from home, she stretches out either under my desk or in her crate (with the door open).
Last night, I took her to meet my friend’s two dogs who were strays themselves at one time. She had such a great time. She ran, and ran, and ran. Needless to say, when we walked back home last night, she was trailing behind
So, she’s made two great friends that she’ll be able to play with often.
I’ve attached a couple pics of her. The one of her lying on her back had me cracking up. It was after a long walk/run and she was exhausted. I was talking on the phone at the time and she looked at me as if I was keeping her awake, so she rolled over with her face against the wall ![]()
Such a comical dog.

Jake
We are thankful to have Jake as part of our family! He enjoyed our hunt for the perfect Christmas tree! (Second
only to the White House tree find!). He has really turned into a daddy’s boy (Kathryn & I prefer to think it’s only because Bill’s office is in our house & he bribes Jake with treats!)

Barkley
Here is a picture of Barkley. He’s about 50-60 pounds right now and is very outgoing, even wanting to socialize with cats:). He’s tons of fun and we’re hoping a new puppy would provide him with a live-in friend and playmate.
Bitz and Chase
As you all know that we lost our beloved cat,
Bucket, one month ago. It has been a very sad place at our house over this. We decided it was time to open our hearts and home. We did this yesterday once we adopted our new family members from PAWS: please welcome…….Bitz (formally known as Rena) and Chase (formally known as Elmer). We could not live with the name Elmer and Bitz is short for ( bubitztu, we think) which in Polish means “Sweetheart”! Bitz is a female about five months old and Chase is a male who is four months old. Both are adjusting to their new home and each other. Bitz still hisses at Chase but not very much. Chase really wants to interact with her. This morning they were chasing each other so it will be a matter of time. If you can’t read the names in the photos, Chase is the cuddy white and stripped baby and Bitz is the slender, tiger.
We still hold Bucket close to our hearts (and always will). Our new babies are finding their own way in! Len and I are so pleased to have them!!!
All our Love,
Pam and Len (new mommy and daddy)
Winston
